Weight Loss Simplified–that’s the subtitle for the book, The Potato Hack by Tim Steele. I don’t remember how I came across this book, but it’s an interesting idea in this day and age of a zillion and one diet approaches!
In the simplest of terms, the potato hack diet approach involves eating only potatoes for a few days each week. Steele reports many people will lose 3-5 pounds each week that they do the hack. He shares some recipes–basically various ways to prepare potatoes to make the diet more interesting. Steel uses the potato hack himself (just one day a week) to keep his weight in check–as a maintenance program.
You can find this diet online for free, but the book does share a lot of interesting science and history to support the idea of eating just potatoes for a short period. The Potato Hack can even help people with digestive issues!
