The Body Code is a program developed by Dr. Bradley Nelson, and this Body Code review will share the inside scoop.
Dr. Nelson graduated with Honors in 1988, and has spent the 28 years since then as a Holistic Chiropractor, successfully treating patients all over the world. He has spoken internationally on holistic healing, energy medicine and magnetic therapy. His book, The Emotion Code, a bestseller, was how I first encountered Dr. Nelson’s work.
It was an enjoyable read. Dr. Nelson’s premise, as with most energy healing systems, is that most illnesses are caused by emotional energy that gets trapped.
These emotional energies can be from events both large and small–it’s all dependent on how the individual processes it. Or fails to process it. I think the reason I am drawn to these types of books is twofold…I like to think that there is more to offer to those for whom traditional medicine is lacking.
And it seems like it explains being “stuck” in a certain pattern of behavior. Dr Nelson uses magnets for releasing.
Body Code Review
The Body Code includes the Emotion Code, but also addresses other types of “imbalances” rather than just emotional energy. It states that:
All health issues fall under the 6 categories of imbalance:
- Circuitry – The organs, glands and muscles that make up our physical body.
- Energetic – These are generally trapped emotions.
- Pathogens – Fungal, Bacterial, Viral, mold and Parasites.
- Nutritional – The food we eat, including herbs and nutrients.
- Structural – The bones, nerves, and connective tissue.
- Toxicity – Heavy metals, free radicals, chemicals and other environmental toxins.
As you can see the Body Code delves into some traditional areas, albeit in non-traditional fashion.
My Thoughts and Experience
I actually know someone who used the body code–a family member. They were expecting it to be a bit more based on the Emotion Code, however. They actually had a few sessions with a practitioner as a bonus, so did not get around to using it on their own. The process is simple enough. Muscle testing is used with Mind Maps to pinpoint problem areas–this is based on the belief that our subconscious mind is incredibly wise, which I happen to believe 🙂
There were some suggestions made about a cleanse and certain foods to avoid that this family member did not agree with…they also decided that it required too much learning to implement themselves. So they returned it.
Bottomline:
Not having firsthand experience with the Body Code, I cannot speak from personal experience regarding its effectiveness. I like some of the premises–but I have never been much into diet restrictions or worried about environmental toxins. And I am not convinced “cleansing” is a good idea.
