7 Day Mental Diet: Best Diet for Happiness

Ever heard of the 7 day mental diet?

Diets are all over the place–in books, commercials, videos etc…most often, of course, they are talking about food and what we put into our bodies.

Generally speaking, people think much less about what they “feed” their minds. That’s why the name of this approach, by my much beloved Emmet Fox, captures your attention. There’s that word-Diet–again. 🙂

In a nutshell, the 7 day mental diet suggests that you go for a whole week without dwelling in negative thinking. Sounds simple–but it’s way harder than you might think (or for me, anyway)!

The approach can be found for free in various places. Here’s an intro to and reading of it on YouTube:

I saw one negative comment on YouTube about the mention of God in this approach. But God is only mentioned in passing, and this approach can be used by people of all faiths or of no faith, in my opinion. ?

You can find some free pdf versions also–but I wasn’t sure how to include them here. Some were within “courses” etc…

I have not yet been able to complete the diet 😛 So I can not speak personally of its effectiveness. Maybe it’s time to try again.
